Here we are! Geared up and ready to go! My dad came over that day to get the run down on Gatsby (who he was managing while we were away). Thank goodness he was there. Getting the beginning picture is all so important.

From the front door of our hotel, this was our view of Rome! Chris and I took to the streets and attempted to get to downtown via the public bus system. We managed to go in circles (thank you language barrier) and never made it to our final destination. We did however see a lot of the city and got excited for the actual tour to get started!

Here is one of the Roman hills that started the roman empire. There are seven total... and we saw all of them. I won't bore you with pictures of all seven... just a few!

Ah... the beauty of the Colosseum. Looks like a postcard doesn't it? Never would know that the picture was taken from a bus while in motion! This structure is one of the most beautiful places... but you might hear me say that a time or two... or three, or four! Okay, it's all pretty fantastic!

Yes, we were THOSE people. Not only did we take a lot of pictures, but we video taped quite a bit. Couldn't travel and NOT do that right?

This picture is actually "illegal" as you're not supposed to take pictures of the Sistine Chapel. But how could we not? So I turned the flash off, held the camera at my waist, pointed it upward and shot! A great picture came from it too.
